    “There is a common goal, to make city streets safe.”

    Really? It sounds like cyclists are disproportionately being targeted, while the real dangers are being treated lightly.

    But I’ll also say that I hate the fact that an industry (i.e. food delivery) is ruining cycling for everyone else.

    That’s such a weirdly written article.

    They bring up how summons increased tenfold from the first to the second quarter as if it’s supposed to be some big shock. It went from winter to summer in NYC… People generally don’t like biking when it’s below freezing outside.

    It’s also mostly about delivery bikers. And some of them are famous for endangering themselves and others all the time, across several major US cities. That’s been a thing for many years.

      That number is also greater than the total number of criminal summonses issued to cyclists in the past seven years.

    So cycling delivering food are violating car laws. Yes fuck cars but still interesting.

    Maybe I should try it. Didn’t care for using my car to deliver but bikes. Nice.
