Im not sure where to post this at but it bugs me and i want to share my experience and thoughts.

Hello im 19 year old with autism if that matter. Im not allowed a job because parents said no and yes i know im a adult but i cant drive and im dependent on family and they are with me aswell. Anyways i felt so down in the dumps and just wanting a way to earn money, that i thought surveys and get paid to sites would be a change. There a waste of time and only good for earning pennies. most of the time you do the survey and when you fishish it screen you out not giving you a reward. I even get money from the government for having autism but it goes towards bills and life, the little i have left i always blow it on something dumb (I have a problem).

I want to let you know never try those sites there just not worth it and take weeks of slave labor to even get a dollar.

And now i ask how do i earn money in a real way or get a job from home? I wanted to be my own boss sense i felt busy but im not sure anymore.

How do you feel about learning to code?

It’s rough right now finding work, but studying job skills and obtaining certifications can lead to work from home jobs.

That’s what I’m gambling on at least.

Well i have wanted to learn to make games but i struggle with ideas very badly and posting a commercial game on platforms like steam or app store cost a ton atleast for me right now. Im not sure how to profit on coding besides posting on a platform of sorts. I sadly feel like ive gotten lazy due to ai tools theses days which is a bummer. I did surveys because it was kinda like instant reward. Im also sadly the generation that grew up to be impatient and want things the easy way which i hate.

I’m an old man and I like learning the “watch a video” way. I pay for Udemy courses when they go on sale which can range from $12 - $20 bucks. You code along with them at your own pace. I grind out lessons like JRPG grinding for EXP. If you don’t want to spend money then YouTube has a bunch of free courses.

When you get good enough with a language you supervise the A.I. to do the copy paste work.

If you’re into game development pick up C# or C++. You’ll be able to make basically any type of game you want and have a high demand skill for businesses. It may not be your passion but it can pay the bills from home.

I see you’re messing with Linux gaming. Linux is used a lot in servers and cloud services. That’s always in demand.

Edit: There’s also online courses that gamify learning. Not my thing, but it may scratch the instant gratification itch.

Your first question needs to be what are the restrictions on your work vis-a-vis whatever disability or other benefits you’re receiving?
