Have you ever thought about reading stuff out like this to a therapist?

Bruh, I see a therapist every month.

I am not telling you to not be angry.

    This you?

This level of hostility and aggression is not healthy.

What do you think anger is? Are you telling me, instead, to suppress my anger? Or are you just whinging because my anger is directed at you lot instead of the people you would prefer I be yelling at?

I am telling you I think distance from this space you seem to devote hours to, and actively get infuriated at, isn’t actually good for you.

“It’s not good to get angry at Nazis”

Is this something you would say to someone getting angry at people you agreed were Nazis, or would you be asspatting them?

It sounds much more like you’re upset that someone is getting angry at you for enabling the murder of minorities, and rather than take a moment of self-reflection, you opt to deflect and accuse the person bringing this uncomfortable fact to your attention of, in some way, overreacting to the prospect of their own death and the death of those they love.

Most days I don’t even comment in Political Memes, because most days there’s nothing here that upsets me. But when people start passing around asspat memes about how great it is to murder minorities to Teach The Dems A Lesson, I respond in kind to emphasize that murdering minorities is NOT good, it is NOT left praxis, and it does NOT help anyone except for the FUCKING NAZIS.

If that’s a problem, you can stick around .ml, I understand that they’ll give all the asspats you want for that behavior.

Further I don’t think it’s that helpful for the state of the world.

“Posting memes isn’t going to change the world” is possible one of the least surprisingly things one can say.

Posting memes does, however, contribute to the overarching attitudes of online communities, including which views are held in majority and which are viewed as acceptable, and I would rather not Lemmy.world become a safe space for people who celebrate actions that lead to my death and the death of many millions of others for the sake of some bizarre sense of politics as spiritualism.

With that knowledge I think it’s worth asking, why stay in a place you hate, arguing with people you think are ‘literal fucking nazis’ to what I would guess is little avail.

It’s actually come a long way. Tankie shitwits used to be around 1/3 of this comm; in some two years, tankies are all but absent and campists make up only maybe 1/6.

I’m only a small part of that change, but it’s not “little avail” for such a large change in the prevailing opinions here.

Have you looked into local organizing and the groups in your community that act to fight fascism?

I have, actually, and I participate to my limited ability wrt physical and mental disabilities. At this point, we mostly organize marches, spread awareness, and try to keep in contact with immigrants and others harassed by law enforcement to provide legal resources, since none of us are quite ready to get shot throwing molotovs.

I mean, I’m ready to get shot, but only if it makes some kind of a difference. I spent a fucking decade digging myself out of suicidality, I’m not ready to dive back in on a martyrdom lark without even a serious chance of becoming a martyr instead of a quickly dismissed dead lunatic.

      That wasn’t the question.

As for anger I see the confusion. I was saying this level of anger and energy in internet forums is not normal or healthy.

Glad you are working with community, do that instead of this.

As for the rest, I have no interested in replying piece by piece.
