Positions on funding Israel continues to be her weakest and worst takes. But that’s a common L for Congress.

In my opinion, we shouldn’t be supporting Israel in any shape or form. It’s on the Israeli government to stop what its doing and make moves towards peace so no missiles are launched.

No it cuts off “defensive” weapons. Which do not exist under international law. According to international law all weapons to Israel should be banned.

Op is simply doing Republican jobs for them. AOC is quite clear in her reasoning and op still wants one of the most progressive people in the house out.

Not convinced theyre not rooting for Republicans. Noting but BS posts the past couple days, minimum.

Al Green voted for H. Res. 771 which states that the House of Representatives: “stands with Israel as it defends itself against the barbaric war launched by Hamas and other terrorists” and “reaffirms the United States’ commitment to Israel’s security”.

Killing civilians is never okay. It is not okay when Israel does it to occupy more land. And it is not okay either when Hamas does it to stop that. If we think it’s okay for one side, then they just get on the same level.

Israelis all serve in the IDF, making them all valid targets. The only ones that don’t, are far right zealots that shout for other Israelis to commit geonicide. Many of them are also settlers who engage in horrendous pogroms, supported by the state, IDF, and populace at large. Finally, the oppressed owe their oppressors no quarter and are not required to play respectability games or pass purity tests. They can’t afford to, their very futures depend on it.

That’s not true. It’s genuinely heartbreaking to hear about all the shit that’s going on, and I truly wish that people wouldn’t suffer like that.

You only value Israeli lives shown by the fact that you think Israel should be able to murder Palestinians without retaliation. You even wish to protect Israeli military bases against retaliation.

Lol do you think it’s a way to own me to say that I’m consistently for human rights and yes, truly oppose the death sentence & torture, no matter what the person did?
Either you’re a fan of Guantanamo or you have massive double standards.

Nice strawman, but no. Funnily enough most people in my irl surrounding argue with me because I stand against Israels cruel attacks on Palestinian civilians and they argue about self-defence and October attacks. And they say the same like that I “think Hamas should just be able to murder Israeli civilians”.

It’s bullshit either way. Just because I think it’s horrible what Israel does and how they attack civilians doesn’t mean I think it’s good that Hamas also does that, and the other way around.

Hamas attacks military bases not civilians. Go educate yourself before both sidesing a genocide. https://youtu.be/Pt_1k7nSv1M

I see someone got banned for mentioning the hostages… so I don’t have much to respond. But it’s sad you don’t care about war crimes if the right ones are doing it.

captured colonisers and IDF are not ‘hostages’.
