The y axis not starting at 0 doesnt make this misleading, it just makes it easier to see the trends. It would only be harder to see the movements with 80% of the y axis being useless “fill”.
I disagree, when you’re talking about a percentage change in the total value of an asset, which is the same as the slope of the line if the graph starts at zero, the best way to represent it is the graph starting at zero.
otherwise every graph would be the equivalent of a slope 1 or -1 line.
