That yellow bulb is the remnants of the large flower I had. Am I correct in assuming that is the fruit? It’s a slow grower if it is.

    Speaking of, why is mine just shooting a single skinny stem? It looks etiolated, but it’s baking in the Florida sun mid-morning to sundown. There is no place I can bring more light.

    EDIT: Looking at pics. I need to train it into a palm tree shape?

      I am speaking purely from the perspective of “growing things under lights” here BUT at different latitudes the frequency of the light hitting you is different than at other latitudes.

      July where I am up in the mid Atlantic is different light than July where you are.

      Plants bud / fruit / grow in response to a number of things and the frequency of the light is one especially important factor.

      It is possible down in your Florida oven it will do things at a different time / rate.
