That yellow bulb is the remnants of the large flower I had. Am I correct in assuming that is the fruit? It’s a slow grower if it is.

    Sure looks like a fruit to me. Will probably be small, cause your stems are still small. Some folks would probably recommend cutting it off to direct growth back to the stems, and pruning the stems to direct a single stem upward, and only letting it branch off higher up. How much sun are they getting? They want a lot and will grow faster with more. They also do well with way more water than other cacti, but still don’t want to have wet feet

      It gets full Florida sun. Lots of water. And the upward growth is at 7 feet tall …this yellow bulb is at 1 foot.

      I have it encased in a square frame meant for tomatoes… With taller bamboo poles to support taller growth. At 7 ft, I was planning on letting it start that palm tree shape.
