It’s abnormal. Everything in social media and news is engineered to max out our anxiety and burn us out so we no longer have the energy and stamina to properly react and act against the atrocities being committed worldwide.

There’s an over saturation of fabricated outrage that forces the brain to just shut down into survival mode in an attempt to remain remotely sane.

And there’s pretty much no escaping it for now.

We’re all developing anxiety disorders thanks to that.

this is true but it doesn’t negate the existence of ongoing genocides and extreme climate change. we just have to know about them and be normal

The new normal is gonna be everyone logging off. Just like how millions cut the cord and got rid of cable TV, millions can sign off social media for good.

    Sheppard: Something wrong?
Ronon: I have a bad feeling.
McKay: Yeah, I always feel like that. Like something horrible’s about to happen.
    Teyla: How do you live?
McKay: I get used to it. Thing is, when someone else also has that feeling, mine gets worse.
