As an Australian I love to mock the British idea of what hot weather is:
The highest temperature of the year so far was recorded on 1 July, when 35.8C was measured in Faversham, Kent.
Nope, nope, that’s definitely too hot. No mockery here. That’s just hot weather.
I am amazed the entire population of Kent didn’t shrivel into little raisin-people
