      I mean, I understand that this is a metaphor for some instance of “someone thinks x should have y, and is dumb,” but I have no idea what specific instance it’s trying to poke fun at.

        Apply liberally. Bought a video game and expected a feature not common in the genre or the developer’s history? Watched a movie but had no idea what the director’s style is? Bought a smartphone and wanted features that brand has never had (or maybe the industry has moved away from)? Bought motion cameras but didn’t realize you couldn’t just watch the clips they record unless you buy their stupid cloud service…

        That last one is me 😮‍💨

    This is a person that in decades past would have appropriately been institutionalized for their own safety. Instead they’ll probably end up as a supervisor for some fucking DOGE team where their mental capacity fits like a glove.

      The post is making fun of people who make nonsensical complaints about things, usually anons. Buying a can of beans and complaining there are no tomatoes.
