This petition won’t change the minds of the DNC establishment.
But this vocal and energetic support for him is amazing PR for him. It means the DNC and republicans don’t get to completely define the narrative.
It’s just a show of support but it’s so necessary ATM because some democrat voters might be inclined to look into him more closely since he has visible support.
I am fully prepared for the same level of disappointment that I’ve seen over and over. A socialist or actual progressive will not be allowed to gain any kind of foothold. America isn’t falling, it’s already fallen decades ago as the same people who employ and pay the checks for Republicans also keep Democrats in their employment.
The “opposition” no matter how strongly worded it seems at rare times, is entirely WWE theater and stageplay and the liberal american public buys it because the media is also controlled.
If we want actual change and progress in the country, it has to be a massive effort to remove sitting dem senators and to overturn Citizens United and other policies that have allowed our nation to become a divided corpo-feudalist dictatorship.
