I know, I get it. Echo chambers are bad m’kay?
But hear me out. Most of the interactions I had on there were essentially me fighting against the news for about 11 years. Most of the people I argued with were reactionary and repeated everything on TV. It was frustrating and it was awful.
I gained little insight into what was going on by interacting with them, and in retrospect, I could’ve been no better off here. And honestly, I feel less on edge about current affairs being around people who get it. I’m one degree removed from crazy.
I’m glad there are spaces on the web where I can get away from all of that nonsense. So, I guess, in a sense, thank you for being here.
I like it because in many ways capitalism is bad (so I sorta like to here the extreme because we are pretty close to the opposite extreme now) and socialism to. When extreme. Im way against where the us is at and I think we were to capitalistic even in the 70’s. I don’t think capitalism should be allowed in any case were there is no choice or for necessities and even then should be well regulated and if something has to be run privately and either has no choice or is a necessity then its going to have to be very heavily regulated.
