    I remember as a kid, growing up in a conservative, right-wing area, and even as an all-too-political conservative right-wing little shit myself, I still adored heroes of all races in the past, and abhorred cretins of all races, likewise. While the number of mixed-race Asians we learned about was, uh, probably 0, I feel fairly confident in saying that most kids are not going to be thinking about their own race when learning about racists of the past. They’re going to be thinking about what a shitty place the past was and how shitty some people were in the past (and about to be disappointed at what a shitty place the present is).

      100%, yep. All part of growing up “lucky” to be American and white, it seems. 🤌🏼

      Eventually, if they’re truly paying attention, it’ll dawn on them that the difference in their brand of Luck® is the same systemic shit in a white® box and advertised as the new shiny — all so it’s that much harder for us poors as a whole to bond over the shared oppression that’s been endemic to humanity since the dawn of civilization.✊🏼🙇🏼‍♂️
