My partner ran across this thread randomly when searching for something else. This is the epitome of mid 2k internet arguments between the dumb and the not so dumb. It’s 5 pages long, and I bet if you start it, you will finish it.

It revolves around a debate of how long a week is, what working out “every other day” means, and everyone else laughing at them along the way.

I doubt you randomly ran across this highly popular and heavily memed thread, that I’ve seen everywhere from NASIOC to YT to work.

not sure meme applies. just suggesting that I think it’s unlikely they found a specific, well known thread on a low-traffic forum naturally while ‘searching for something unrelated’ instead of through one of the dozens of places it’s been shared in the last decade+ … especially if they’re viewing it/linking it through the wayback machine instead of directly?

Searching for Garmin Tempe ANT+ changes since it was deprecated. Two people were debating how they measure temperature during their rides. Another commenter said if they weren’t careful, they’d start a thread like… link.

So yes, unrelated, found, never seen before, thus the XKCD.
