This entire article just read like a guy who thought he was clever for reading the features of the site after potentially losing all their data. The database host had no obligation to offer that on their base tier. They lucked out and they’re patting themselves on the back for someone else bailing them out.

I agree. This was one unusually helpful vendor away from being a completely different post.
