I’m here by accident, never been to Britain, and I just have a question: what ties you with Israel at all? Why not ignore the situation? Do you have some legal obligations? Trying to kiss Trump’s ass? Something more subtle and inobvious?

Britain was involved in the creation of Israel, as described in the wiki article.

Quite why we’re still involved with it to the degree we are I don’t know.

Our leaders just do whatever the US says. The last leader who said no to the US was Harold Wilson, who refused to follow them into the Vietnam war. We need a proper Labour party again.

Israel controlls almost all of UK politics. They overthrew Jeremy Corbyn because he was anti-Israel and replaced him with Keir Starmer.

      Kiss trumps ass.

More to the point, the US as a whole has an obsession with Israel. While all NATO nations have genuine reason not to anger them.

Not only does the US spend more on its military than everyone else combined.

But a huge % of what the western nations do spend. Depends on US infer structure and cooperation to work. And as dumb as it sounds. NATO nations are only now realising that is dangerous.

Citizens in NATO nations may express questions about backing Israel. But the governments know, and disagreement with the US is always a risk. Way way more so now Trump has embedded so much support in the US military ranks.

At the minute they are NATO allies, so we are around for defence.

The issue going forward is if we join in on the offensive which there isn’t a lot of appetite for in the UK and is as per the AG legally muddy.

Because, at the end of the day, they support the project of a white, European power dominating the middle east.

Nah, if that were true they’d also feel compelled to give unconditional support to Romani and Slavs, which they very, very much do not.

        Holocaust guilt is an excuse.

To be clear. Britain is not feeling guilt for Germany doing it.

But we knew the genocide was happening. But our gov and intelligence agencies, kept it secret to hide our breaking of the German encryption techniques. So many Brits since learning this post WW2. Recognise the only reason Germany lost the war. And the majority of Europe is not now under Nazi control. It is that the Brits sacrificed/refused to save 6m Jews to save Europe. The UK could have bombed the gas chambers. Putting them out of action. Bombed the correct tracks, shipping families to work camps and those chambers. But instead ignored that intelligence rather than perform actions that would have made it clear to Germany they could understand their communications.
