that’s what I’m jealous about Europe for. THey have so much history, and it’s just a train trip away. Meanwhile in Australia, your local pub is older than this country.
Not my local pub though, I was a temporary dweller in Europe. Germany in particular has a fantastic public transit network, but other countries have excellent systems as well.
Loved the roughly 2h I spent in the train from Mannheim to Paris. 3h to Amsterdam, of memory serves.
