For the reporters and AI accusers:
I have reached out to OP and confirmed that they are not a bot. They have posted an explanation here: https://lemmy.world/post/31487746
They were simply trying to give helpful cat tips and were using an unusual writing style which unfortunately came off as LLM generated.

Hello there, I would like just to say that there is no bot behind “The Divine Keepers” I wish, though, my cats would write here instead of me lol. It is only 2 human hands. If my posts/comments came across too robotic, I am so sorry. It was not my intention. The intention was more like creative-way, whimsical. The illusion I intended to was my cats are writing to you all through the Divine Keepers. Lesson learn 🐱
I apologize, the half formal half whimsical writing style and the unasked for (I don’t mean that in a rude “who asked” way, it just doesn’t flow like human conversation) listicle formatted advice replicates LLM tone very well
You did what you felt right, that is ok completely and as I said, lesson learned from my side.Learning curve for me as well, you know. I am a little bit excited to do something I love. Besides, I may still use “we”, I still need to honour my cats (lol). P.S: If you feel it’s still not the right tone. Send me a DM 😁
One of our cats had a serious medical issue, we think a blood disease caused by a tick bite (we had just moved to a new house, and we think it was already in the house - she was an indoor only cat). One night as she was recovering, she started attacking her own tail. This is something that can happen to cats who go through a trauma like this. We tried to distract her from it, but it didn’t work.
The next morning, we discover blood all over the house. She got her tail bleeding and then proceeded to walk around the house. Our bedroom, my office, the hallway, the stairwell, and every room on the first floor.
I worked on cleanup while my wife took her to the animal hospital.
They tried to bandage it, but it never worked, it would start bleeding again when the bandage was removed. We had to have her tail docked.
Poor kitty. She passed away in 2020 (she never really got well after that initial incident, unfortunately). I still miss her!

She actually survived several years after that incident, but she was never quite the healthy cat she was before we moved. Unfortunately she ended up in the animal hospital again at the height of the pandemic, and it was so bad that they were letting us into the building to see her. She was there over a week, and she just wasn’t getting better - and even if she had recovered, it wasn’t a cure; it was just recovery. In other words, there was no guarantee she wouldn’t be back there again in a few months with exactly the same problems.
So sorry for your loss. I (the writer this time speaking; instead of cats impersonista) had a dog looong time ago. He had diabetes he had hard times near the end. So, I know what you feel. It is pain for onself as one can see its little fur in pain/sick. As I wrote early (as that time cat impersonista). She enjoyed and was lucky to have you. You did what you could, and, sincerely, more than what people would usually do.
I usually kept all the doors in my house open so the cats had freedom to roam. I went out one day having mindlessly closed the door between the front room and the back of the house. When I got back a few hours later, Percy had tore a hole in the carpet and was still going for it. When I opened the door, he went and settled on the bed. I still have that hole to this day.

My roommate’s cat got her head through a plastic grocery bag handle then when she tried to back out of it it made a crinkly noise and she panicked. She bolted around the apartment for a solid minute with a grocery bag full of stuff in it causing absolute mayhem. The bag got caught on the leg of one of the kitchen chairs at high speed and she tore the handle right off the bag.
She ended up sitting on the arm of the couch with the handle of this plastic bag still around her neck. She looked like she had a cheapo lion’s mane. 🤣

One of my first memories is of our bold mischievous cat. This cat was not only fearless she was fast to act. Well one Thanksgiving some family members decided last minute to come to our house. They had traveled seven hours by car with the plan being they’d arrive as the meal was being finished. Everyone had skipped eating so we could dine together. For reasons I cant remember our big meal consisted mainly of side dishes and a whole chicken in place of the turkey. I’m pretty sure that, somewhat small, chicken was the only meat on the table. Again can’t remember why but my mom was cooking it in a just big enough toaster oven. Now this chicken was looking absolutely delicious. Everyone was just waiting to dig in. So all of us are sitting at the table as my mom takes it out of the toaster oven. Now this I do remember very clearly. Her hand touched the side of the oven when the chicken was halfway out. She didn’t think, she just reacted, by dropping the tray and jumping back a little. Everyone gasped at this but it’s ok cuz the chicken landed in a way that most if not all can be salvaged. But our mischievous little kitten had been nearby. She probably made her move the moment the tray hit the ground. We were all still processing that the chicken had fallen when we see a white blur go to the chicken, tear off an entire leg, and dash off down the hall with the other cat close behind. No one even had a chance of stopping her it happened so fast. In the end the two cats got the biggest amount of meat on their plate. We had to split the remainder nine ways so you can imagine what made it to each plate.

My cat isn’t allowed to use the internet
But I don’t leave bags with handles sitting around anymore. A surprised cat with a bag around its neck is tough to catch and they just crash into everything
One of our cats had this happen twice with paper bags before we realized we need to cut any handles on bags they play in. The first time it happened, he came bolting into our room and knocked over everything on the floor (including scattering like 40 whip-its all over) and didn’t stop until the bag tore.
He’s terrified of the crinkle of any paper or plastic bag now.
