They actually got Rick Moranis - he really has come out of his retirement/exile.
He retired too raise his family.
But I’m enjoying thinking of him going absolutely berserk and getting blacklisted.

Exile can be self-imposed. Nothing sinister intended.
Losing a spouse and choosing to focus on raising your kids when you have the financial resources seems a value-based choice.
Martin Short, another Canadian comedian of the same generation, also stopped working for many years when his wife died in 2010.
His return to work in Only Murders in the Building has been enormously successful - and has reportedly led to a romantic attachment with Meryl Streep who also lost a spouse to cancer and had a hiatus in work.
One has to wish Moranis similar professional and personal success.
Man I’m hyped for this! I just hope they don’t fill the cast with a bunch of Assholes…
So they do a long list of why you shouldn’t do sequels or prequels then at the end make a legacy sequel anyway. I love Mel but if history of the world part 2 is anything to go by, i’m not impressed. Are we sure this is not elder abuse?

Also, I can’t believe Brooks is still alive. He must be stoked about this movie.
