Lol, no. Most of maga can’t even spell Europe, so all of those things you list, while true, are way beyond their comprehension.

The politicians just point at European countries and say they stupid because they talk funny and they are stealing from you. (It doesn’t matter if that is true or not, it’s just “someone else to blame” for made up problems.)

    campaign against western civilisation itself

LOL Europe is the western civilisation.

Usa is a perversion of it, made by outlaws and outcasts, and hasn’t changed fundamentally until today (even though some are dressed better now).

There’s psychological war going on. They are part of a play. They are the pawns in that play. All the things people are grasping for as hope, wether left or right, are dead. The old world is dead. …and people built their lives on living for that old world …so now they don’t have the life skills, or even the mental pathways to truly think freely to overcome the war that’s happening, because they based their whole understanding of existence on a gimmick of nationalism, capitalism, and governance.

Saying this isn’t supposed to to be a jab or an insult. It just seems like it’s the honest truth. And we all got fucked over.

The political center in Europe is somewhat to the left of the US on a number of issues.

I’m pretty sure that a number of people on the left in Europe are worried about the US because they’re concerned that its social or cultural influence might move Europe to the right.

I’m also pretty sure that a number of people on the right in the US feel the same way about Europe, just in the other direction.

That is, the right in Europe and the left in the US are more-likely to be comfortable with each other.

We’re to the left of the US but if you look around Europe, our parliaments and governments are full with right wing extremists. The so-called centrists are politically and rhetorically where today’s Nazis were 10-15 years ago (at least that’s how the Nazis presented themselves to the public while they still had to).

Otherwise I do think your explanation makes sense.

They hate everyone and everything they perceive as not being them. And many secretly hate themselves as well. There is very little other nuance.

They think the social state was built at the expense of defense spending (it wasn’t, it was originally indirect “cognitive” defense spending as a middle ground against soviet communism) and they probably think that Europe not being a social shithole like the US hinders their neofascist plans.

Now if you’re asking why MAGA “conservatives” hate liberalism…you gotta ask them why they think the founding fathers and Jesus are woke…I have no idea there.

American conservatives have always had distaste for Europe due to its different mores, more liberal political center, and general diversity of cultures. And also the overall view that anyone that isn’t “us” is “them”
