      I’m really lucky that she’s pretty docile. She does go and hide in an awkward spot when she sees it come out and try to back out of the carrier when being put in, but it’s thankfully not the ordeal it is with other cats. (For those cats I use trickery.)

        The first two times I took her to the vet I laid a line of treats leading into the back of the carrier. Trickery I guess. Or bribery. I hope I get away with that technique for her yearly vax and checkup. I think that I am more nervous about the vet than the cat is.

          Another good trick is to stand a front loading carrier on the back end and lower them in. It’s a bit harder for them to get straight out if you’re quick
