    A respirator can be a literal lifesaver when woodworking, as many sawdusts and chemicals used can be harmful to inhale. They are cheap and only mildly annoying to use, but worth it in the long run.

      I’m not in a hurry. I don’t really like using foreign exotic wood when I live in a forest.

      Especially mahogany. My area is lousy with black cherry, so why ship mahogany from another hemisphere?

      I haven’t really had an issue with oak.

      I got some plywood from Lowe’s once that must have been made out of habanero wood. Every cut made the air spicy.
