The thing though is, that this is what the rest of the world has expected would already have happened. We had expected you to react to the crazyness
We dont see much proof of Americans reacting to any of the things that are happening and it keeps going the wrong way. Sure there are demonstrations, but your politicians keep approving one crazy bill after the other.
Yeah, seems like more needs to happen. To be clear, there are big and regular protests, which don’t seem to get much coverage. But to me a protest isn’t strategic enough. It’s not enough to say “we’re mad” and get press coverage, there should be some specific goal that mass actions accomplish.
And if you’re following closely, it’s not generally bills that are being passed, it’s the president issuing executive orders which claim to exercise power which by law the president doesn’t have. But because our legislature and highest court won’t fight back it’s treated like these have the power of law.
Until the Republicans no longer control those bodies the only check on Trump is state governments, lower courts, and private citizens/organizations.
Things are really bad. I don’t have any issue with someone pointing out reality. I have an issue with someone mocking those who believe it’s possible for things to improve.
I feel very strongly for people who fight and hope for things to improve. But after so many years of hoping and expecting things to improve, i think it is about time to encourage actions rather that sentiment
Edit: this isn’t specific to you, I just picked your comment to reply to. Bit of a rant but the calls for violence and illegal action from the rest of the world is getting tiresome.

Where are you looking? Compromised US media? Are you in the US? North America? The western hemisphere?
How much have you been engaging American citizens on social media? Where are they? East coast? West coast?
The United States is a country that is literally the size of the continent of Europe. I just saw a stat that there are more people living in New York City than all but 12 of the 50 states.
I live in middle America and it’s a very different environment and climate here than it is out east in Massachusetts. I was just in Las Vegas and other than maybe slightly fewer travelers you’d never know the country is descending into fascism. Covid was more noticeable of an impact there than the current political situation.
your politicians keep approving one crazy bill after the other.
Who? At what level? Federal? Which politicians? Republicans who don’t represent even the constituents they’re supposed to serve?
47 signs executive orders, the court shuts (some of) them down. They roll back federal laws and protections and the (democrat controlled) states work to add them back at the state level.
Unfortunately, most American media, whether intentionally or they’re just that easily duped, is creating a particular narrative.
I’m not sure what reaction the rest of the world has expected but most of the things I’ve seen posited are unrealistic.
I’d also encourage the rest of the world to engage in some introspection. American hegemony got to where it is today with the help of the rest of the world. It’s great that everyone is waking up about reliance on America but it’s all been reactionary. Why not start that 20 years ago?
