“Accident”.
“Accidents” of mass destruction shouldn’t be downplayed because a car was involved.
And when police call it an “accident” they’ve already concluded that this couldn’t be avoided, despite the fact that nearly every vehicle on pedestrian crash is preventable.

Assault requires intent. This was apparently unintentional. There were no serious injuries, so you can’t even howl for manslaughter charges. Sorry? Can’t help but feel you will take this as a disappointment.
I started calling them “potentially fatal car crashes”. Even the “small” ones… us humans are delicate.
