I don’t get why a such law took so long, but late is better than never.

If everyone gets a “developed brain” (and I do think that’s pseudoscience btw, but let’s pretend) at a different time in their life, then you might not have one yet and some 18yo’s might. How is this hard to understand? Do schools not teach the notion of a distribution anymore?

ageism is one of the most remarkable forms of bigotry to me. If bigotry is a weapon, ageism is a foot-gun. Upvote for admitting it 👍

To be fair, I’m semi-serious anyway. On one hand, I had experiences with people who are only around 18, just giving me awful advice because they have been feed YouTube garbage. I remember myself being a fool up to like 24 years of age, and then a slight fool up until now

I’m still a fool myself, but at least I know it. :)

You must admit that having lots of bad experiences with people who are 18 does not discount the mature people who are 18 though, right. Like, I agree, I’ve also had plenty of bad experiences with people age 18 who are very stupid. Less often but still sometimes much older people are stupid. But that’s the nature of distributions. I have also known incredibly mature people who were just 15, and I think they are smarter and had their life on track better than I do now in my late 20s.
