Adding the Moynihan Hall was a welcome improvement to Penn Station, but didn’t address the main problem, which is insufficient capacity for the number of trains that run through it. There aren’t enough tracks, the platforms are too narrow, and the tunnels entering and leaving the station have too limited capacity. These more fundamental constraints will be much harder to solve, because the underground area around the station is already heavily crowded.

@[email protected] Honest question here, not meant as asking you to change what post: Do you have a (informal of course) policy or pattern for when you repeat these images?

@[email protected] I’m a little surprised you managed to make the advertising neither completely white nor actually showing ads. I guess it must have been a relatively quick exposure at a fortuitous time in the ad cycle. Slow process indeed.

@[email protected] This was before they turned the ads on. The monitors were just showing abstract patterns.

@[email protected] Oh, that definitely makes it easier. Anyway, nice shot. I was tempted to try to do something similar Saturday but unfortunately busted the camera sensor I would have used. (Don’t worry, it’s insured.)

@[email protected] I got an okayish first attempt at Rockafeller Center before breaking it, though, so between that and insurance I’ll live.
