Being smaller than a typical 10 year old smartphone is pretty damn compact for a modern smartphone. If you’re expecting to go back to the days of the iPhone 3GS or something, then you’re in a minority of a minority

It’s a touch smaller than the Galaxy S5, and significantly narrower, which is more important for typing one handed.
