Edit: After reading so many responses, I’d like to clarify - what would Democratic and Republican VOTERS (not politicians) agree on?

The democrats would agree with everything the republicans wanted. But they’d do some performative bullshit to claim they are powerless to stop it, or that they need to reach across the aisle, or that you need to vote harder next election and donate now

Most likely some shit about investing in the stock market, because both parties are so infauted with ‘line must go up’ that they will burn the entire planet and our society to ground to make it happen.

Besides that, the Democrats have lukewarm beliefs about tolerance and fair treatment, while the Republicans want a strictly hierarchal theocracy, so they’d probably agree to see other people.

The National Constitution Center did a project where they had three teams (progressive, conservative, and libertarian) rewrite their dream constitution. There was a surprising amount of overlap. There was a fourth team (something like Team Liberal?) that merged with the progressives. They also had great discussions and eventually came up with amendments to the current Constitution that had support from all three teams.

There’s podcasts about it (We The People podcast) and the documents, but the main site’s here: https://constitutioncenter.org/news-debate/special-projects/constitution-drafting-project

  • If you mean the politicians:

Rich people should have more rights than poor people.

    Money is free speech.

The two party system and fptp are sufficient.

More people need to be in prisons.

    Israel did nothing wrong.
