True, as much as I hate the idea of collateral damage, that’s what everyone one of us has in his/her sphere of influence. If not to make a point (which I find secondary), then to start supporting our shared homeland. After all, the strongest country on our continent isn’t France, Germany, etc. It’s Europe - or at least, it could be. But only if we start acting like it.
