I don’t think the question is to be taken that literally.
Thats how writing works.
However, you can still have an opinion about the overall organisation regardless of the nuance.
It’d be meritable if that person were six to eight years old.

How do you people still not get it?
They need to pierce the propaganda to perceive that unmitigated capitalism bought the system of governance that was designed to protect humans from unmitigated capitalism. Shouting shallow conclusions at them doesn’t help them learn.
Manipulating the audience doesn’t encourage good faith discussion.
This is what happens to IT professionals when the centralization of textbook design is no longer appropriate the situations. All they’ve got is a hammer. So, everything’s a nail, even if it means lying.
There’s application in responding to requests for information quickly, in a mesh network, perhaps in presence of malactors. For example the medical records of injured US soldiers are stored in and delivered using a block chain solution.
There’s application in a hypothetical currency free from the corruption of governance. For example, an orange President couldn’t print gobs of money during a pandemic, devaluing your currency, then hand that money to corporations.
For Americans from an American: Instead of the electoral college, imagine our House of Representatives, not our Senate, chose the next President.

WaPo has been quite biased for quite some time. Rather than giving you a fish, another flawed source that’ll also likely fall victim to profit motive, I’d rather encourage you to glean what’s meritable from whatever sources you may encounter.
The tools that best help me do that are the book Manufacturing Consent and a course on logic. I found both online for free and completed them by myself. But, there’s been more value in subsequent group discussion. If you’ve an opportunity to learn as a group then favor it.

What’s meritable often isn’t popular. By what metric should comments be rated?
Many will rate high. By what means can the set be further narrowed?
It’ll get banned on .world for the same reasons as Reddit.
Seemingly so many don’t do any homework. For example, this guy: There are cheap plastic knives for self defense that are as good as metal for the first use. An example of those would be the Cold Steel FGX Nightshade series.
