With dad: mundane stuff, like the whether and such.
With mom: geopolitical, philosophical and historic analysis about current events… And mundane stuff too.
The thing is, my mom is an Historian with a PhD, while my dad worked for an oil company. Also, I hanged out with my mom more while growing up cuz dad had to work in others states for weeks, so I couldn’t see him much.
Regardless, I enjoy talking with both of them. Mostly cuz I don’t make much of it, I don’t try to be smart, clever or anything. I just speak my mind out with naturality, depending on how my relationship with the person I’m talking to is.
What a punchline is finding out how absurdly long the image is while I was scrolling lol
The first one isn’t even a villain, at least an antihero.
And the last one seem more interesting to me.
I haven’t seen the show in years. The last thing I remember are those nostalgic berries or whatever.

91·8 days agoI just think it’s wrong to place more emphasis on that potentially traumatic episode in that man’s life than on what he is doing. As if the most important thing were that he was the guy Miyazaki told to his face that his work was an insult to humanity itself.
I’m afraid that we are in a point where reality is much worse and bizarre than anything Parker and Stone could imagine.

OK, this comment kinda pissed me off and I was gonna write a whole bible to respond it, but it does not worth it. So I’m just gonna do this:
so, do you still think this is “far from improving”
Yes
do you really think the purpose of military patrols was to prevent looting??
I know it. I live it
now that hundreds of political prisoners are being released.
That’s just PR, and It was either that or more bombing, to civilians in this case I guess, idk.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•99% of the time when I get exposed to content that sucks, it's because of other people creating content about the content they also think sucks.
1·15 days agoThat’s why I try, as much as possible, to share only the things I like and am passionate about. There’s already enough negativity in the world without me adding more.
What the media thinks gay dudes want: Cute and “feminine” things.
What gay dudes really want: Stallone’s sweaty pecs bouncing as he fires his machine gun.
This is gayer than being actually gay.

Games@lemmy.world•What challenge from a game isn't worth completing and what challenge from a game is worth completing?English
2·26 days agoRegarding collectables-based challenges, in my experience, all collectables that don’t unlock content or aren’t some kind of upgrade are a waste of time.
I remember collecting all the figments in Psychonauts 1, how frustrating and time consuming it was and how it was near useless to the regression of the game. I love Psychonauts and I would like to play it again over and over, but I would not collect those pesky figments ever again.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•If you are boycotting "America", does that include "American culture"?

For years, the United States has benefited most from globalization. They either don’t admit it or don’t realize it.

This isn’t a call out but an attempt of murder against ME specifically.
