The U.S. House of Representatives Ethics Committee failed Wednesday to reach agreement on whether to release findings from its nearly finished investigative report on former Republican Representative Matt Gaetz, President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for attorney general.
I will just say that given the composition of that committee, the fact that they’re not saying “no we’re not releasing it, fuck off” really leads me to believe it’s bad enough that even some number of those amoral shit-sniffers feel a sense of duty to release it, which is really saying something. You’ve even got Republicans coming out of the woodwork saying it needs to be released to protect Trump.
