That’s exciting. Hopefully it has as good a soundtrack as the first. I still listen to it sometimes while I work.

Anol sheh lay konnah de veh-um
FlavumWill do that today, thanks for the suggestion.
This is encouraging!
It’s below the first one now, according to the page’s update. Not that rottentomatoes is super accurate on movie quality anyways.
I suspected it would drop after I posted this. The trailer didn’t entice me and felt off with its music choice
I can not imagine a sequel to Gladiator being as good as the original…but, damn, imagine if it was. That first movie is a classic.
I hope it’s not the plotline that they tried to get on the road years ago, where Maximus is sent back from the dead by the gods to return Rome to a republic. That would suck.
Unless they’re doing a fantastic job of hiding the true plot in the trailers, that’s not the case
Def doesn’t sound like they went that route at all.
I liked Gladiator, I didn’t lurveeeee it. I’m preconditioned now to hate every sequel and remake on spec, just because it’s lazy, and they’re making so many of them, and the quality of 95% are garbage, so just seeing the words Gladiator 2 make me itch, in a bad way. I’m not gonna see this in the theater, I haven’t gone to the movies since before COVID, and until there’s a cure for it (or long covid), it’s not somewhere I’m going to feel comfortable spending any time at all. I’ll wait til it gets released, sail the seas, and check it out then, unless the actual post release reviews say it’s dogshit.
I have all my shots etc. but unless you or a persoj close to you is immunocompromised and you guys are still isolating I cant nderstand why you would subject yourself to such restrictions given the progress made with vaccines and the comparative strength of current strains of covid.
Hoe long do you sacrifice your enjoyment and freedom before it just isnt worth it? I get it, to do it when everyone was is commendable and necessary but four years later is crazy to me.
Good, but surprising. I’m glad Scott pulled it off. When I first heard they were making a sequel, I groaned and thought it was a stupid idea.
Glad I was wrong.
