it doesn’t help that the known issues now list “bile titans sometimes just don’t take damage.” Explains…a lot actually
On the bot front, it’s this, but with gunships instead of bile titans lmao
I haven’t tried it on bots. I suppose I should give it a shot, but seems dangerous getting close to a lot of them.
EAT is great against bots, especially on the heavy units like the Tank, Gunships, and Hulks
With the recent patch, primaries are actually able to deal with the light and medium armor guys now, so no more wasting EATs on Heavy Devastators too! (I just shoot their gun off with my primary)
Oh sorry, I was referring to Flamethrowers.
Flamethrowers can be pretty good at choke points, but it’s situational
It takes like seven shots, but you can kill a bile titan with an arc thrower.
That not nearly as much as I was expecting.
This happened last night. I had read how Flamethrowers were super strong right now at melting Chargers and dealing with swarms of bugs. Everything was going great until Bile Titans showed up.
Turns out , Eagle Airstrikes don’t do much against them. I had brought a Autocannon Sentry with me, but that thing has a looooong cooldown when you’re being chased by multiple Bile Titans.
500kg bomb works wonders against them.
500kg works wonders on everything
Except on a Tinder dating profile.
Then it’s carbon dating
What’s the strategy for taking down a bile titan with an EAT? I always aim for the head, but it always takes multiple shots. Is it just my aim, or is there somewhere else I should be shooting at?
I think two shots to the head can do the trick. I’ve seen stuff that mentions shooting before they spit is two shots, but after they spit is four shots. Not sure if there’s any truth to that though.
Edit: Also worth pointing out that you can shoot their bile sack on the underside of their tail, which will prevent them.from spitting.
Since we had 3 titans at extraction… I’m going to remember the bile sack trick.
I’ve heard some people actually don’t shoot them in the bile sack (lol) if there’s a bunch of them. Their spit has friendly fire, so you can actually get them to kill each other… assuming you also survive.
If only I would be so lucky for them to friendly fire. Often times the only thing keeping me alive is my 50%-chance-to-not-die armor lol.
