U.S. officials have warned in increasingly stark terms about what they say is China’s assistance in retooling and resupplying Russia’s defense industrial base after early setbacks in its invasion of Ukraine, saying that continued support is a top risk to stable relations between Washington and Beijing.

It is so damaging to this type of pressure for the US to continue supporting Israel regardless of the frequency and severity of their crimes against humanity. It lets Chinese officials know that it’s coldy related to spheres of influence, morals and legality aren’t a factor. It’s not surprising they act as such.

The situations are vastly different though. Despite everything Israel and Russia are still on entirely different levels of atrocities (not that it’s a competition). If anything, the russian practice of torturing and parading your (sometimes dead) captives is indeed a parallel more to Hamas than it is to Israel in my view.

G7 countries slam Chinese firms’ support for Russia’s defence industry

As they ended their meeting on Capri, the G7 ministers said transfers of such material [such as machine tools, semiconductors, other dual-use items that have helped Russia rebuild the defence industrial base] from Chinese companies were being used by Russia “to advance its military production”.

“This is enabling Russia to reconstitute and revitalise its defence industrial base, posing a threat both to Ukraine and to international peace and security,” they said, calling on China to stop its backing “as it will only prolong this conflict and increase the threat that Russia poses to its neighbours”.
