Hands in the 8th panel got messed real good by the AI slopifier.
I see this quite often, I suspect some default Gallery app just AI-upscales downloaded images without users’ knowledge. Someone downloads a thumbnail accidentally, it gets the AI treatment, you get major artifacting like this and they repost it somewhere else. I most often notice it on images of text, when all the letters are wobbly.

I wasn’t looking closely at the panels/not that familiar with the detail of the OG but actually comparing I think you’re right. If I had to guess the intention was to have AI make the HL3 logo but it changed other panels besides just that one. Boo.
It’s pretty cooked though. Almost all the detail is jpeg’d away. It’s also possible they used the source as a reference image and had AI replace part of it, which would explain the AI-like artifacts.

With just a tiny bit of image software use nobody would’ve definitively known that this was AI-modified. Cut out the frame -> AI-modify -> put back in.
