Donald Trump has urged Cuba to “make a deal” or face consequences, warning that the flow of Venezuelan oil and money would now stop.
The US president has been turning his attention to Cuba since US forces seized Venezuela’s leader Nicolás Maduro in a 3 January raid on its capital, Caracas.
Venezuela, a long-standing ally of Cuba, is believed to send around 35,000 barrels of oil a day to the island.
Cuba’s foreign minister responded by saying his nation retained the right to import fuel “without interference”, while its president said: “No one dictates what we do.”
All Cuba has ever wanted, for decades, is for the US leave it alone and be allowed to trade with the rest of the world. Cuba has no means to fight back, so of course Trump and Rubio will pick on them.
Great.
International policy played like a game of Civ where you are bored and about to quit, so you attack everyone, just to see what happens.
This is actually a super great, yet incredibly terrifying analogy.
More distractions from the Epstein files. He is so terrified that people will find out he raped children.
Those files don’t matter anymore. This is Miller telling Trump what he should do to be remembered as some powerful president.
This is Rubio, I think. Toppling Cuba has been his #1 goal his entire political career.
I’m pretty sure he’s just completely moved on from epstein. He’s ramping up even more ICE, he’s invaded a foreign country, is threatening many others, and is seemingly continuing on course. It’s to late for the epstein files to matter at this point, not to mention the more pressing concern that is him giving blanket permission to ICE to start murdering anybody in their way.
If throwing his newborn baby by a 13 year old overboard is any indicator, I’m sure those files will reveal much darker entertainment tbat he engaged in.
I would like to comment, yet again, that a month or two ago the US armed forces moved back into a naval base in Puerto Rico (Roosevelt Roads) that it had give back to the island years ago, without asking for permission. Again, this is no longer property of the US Navy, but they moved in anyway. They have since proceeded to relocate vast amounts of armaments to that base.
Before it’s too late for Civil War 2: Electric Boogaloo?
Cunty McCuntface acting like he owns the world.
Yeah everyone knows Donald Trump can be trusted to honour a deal.
A Trump never pays their debts.
So the last time Cuba got nervous about the intentions of the US we ended up with the Cuban missile crisis. What’s different this time?
Trump and Puty are buddies and are working on carving up the world for a new world dystopia, which will be a humanity crushing mix of Chinese 1 party rule, American Corpotocracy, and Russian Gangster Oligarchy.
The Soviet Union isn’t actively moving a part of it’s nuclear arsenal to the island.
The entire aspect of the crisis was weapons that could actually reach mainland US.
At the moment, no one who borders the Gulf of Mexico has weaponry that could reach say Miami or say Texas City a more strategic point.
So there’s a sense of security by distance in the United States. Now the thing is, this whole thing changes the second any one of these nations procure a medium range weapon. That was the missile crisis. The US found out the USSR was trying to send long range missiles that could strike deep inside US territory.
The same would be true here. The second any of these nations obtain a missile that can hit the US the whole calculus changes.
Can you imagine? “Oh yeah, we invaded Venezuela but they have the ability to start blowing up condos from their own nation.” People would be a whole lot more upset than they are currently.
Important to note that the USSR did this as a response to the US stationing nukes in UK, Italy and especially Turkey, from where they could strike Moscow.
Unless US starts a conflict with either Mexico or Canada, and then they will have unrest and attacks from those fronts. Even if they take major cities the vast amount of space will lead to endless war.
Not saying the US doesn’t have countermeasures, but Russia doesn’t have subs capable of missile strike?
You guys don’t have JFK to try and resolve things diplomatically?
Now we have RFK, who will try to resolve things with unpasteurized dairy, ivermectin, and vaccine skepticism.
There’s no USSR, and China isn’t going take their place.
Not much. :/
Trump said: "Most of those Cubans are DEAD from last week’s USA attack, and Venezuela doesn’t need protection anymore from the thugs and extortionists who held them hostage for so many years.
“Venezuela now has the United States of America, the most powerful military in the World (by far!), to protect them, and protect them we will.”
As long as they bend the knee and always pay their protection money
What if all these countries that the orange felon is threatening to attack pre-empted him?
