The city carved out the public path around our frozen lake for the first time this year. So I cleared a path to connect it to our house, so it’s more welcoming to friends and neighbors who happen by on ice skates, skis or snowmobile, and stop for coffee or beer 🙂

With a snow shovel:
I simply cleared the snow until I reached bare ice - which is nicer to walk on than a bunch of snow on foot. And if someone comes from an ice-skating session, they don’t have to remove their skates in the middle of the path.
