So I did say Johnathan Ross the ICE shooter is gay with a foot fetish, here’s the whole thing though.

I myself am gay, so they really thought somehow I was attacking him for his possible homosexuality.

I am vocal about black civil rights, and the fact of the matter is I’m gay and white and dating a black person.

I’m waiting for them to at least respond to this appeal but I don’t think so, I don’t think pointing out that I’m gay helped either. But hey, I fit the definition of a number of marginalized individuals. I should have some say on what is objectively offensive, in fact the post I made before I got ban was talking my boyfriend in Milwaukee and seeking advice how I should move in.

I don’t know if you know this, but interracial couple is considered marginalized. Yet Reddit doesn’t not count that.

So it is like to me to say I’m spreading hate for saying that possibly Johnathan Ross is gay, like gay people don’t really consider it hateful when a hateful person who is being supported by right wingers and is a right-wing conservative is gay but some website is going to determine that one of their LGBT+ users call out someone as being gay as you are being homophobic.

They are very clear about the reasoning of course, but I can tell what their trying to throw.

So yeah I’m openly gay and Reddit thinks I must be some homophobe, while I have talked open about my relationship.

I don’t think that you being you qualifies as immunity from slander responsibilities. Reddit seems to suck, of course, but saying something about someone without proof, however terrible that person is, is slander.

I am gay myself and couldn’t give a single fuck about that man’s sexual orientation and kinks. I do care about the fact that he’s a cold-blooded assassin who’s place is in jail, though.

First, what you did was attack his sexuality, and that’s still homophobia, even if you’re gay. Quit normalising bigotry. Second, “what is offensive” is an entirely personal and subjective standard, there is nothing that is “objectively offensive”. You can tell with the penguin test (if a penguin wouldn’t also find it offensive, then it’s not objectively offensive). Finally: they did you a favour, dude. Reddit sucks, that’s why we’re all here.

Also, nobody cares how they moderated you. It’s not a comment on you personally, they don’t even know you - and that’s the answer to everything you posted here: they don’t even know you. Move on and enjoy the fediverse, or run around outside the orange fence like Eric Andre trying to get back in; your choice only really affects you, in the end.

I got permabanned for saying “I wish Marjorie Taylor green would trip and swallow her own head”. Apparently I was inciting violence.

I got temp banned for suggesting that the Indians might watch the grounded British jet take off from the runway when it was finally fixed. Live! On TV! Like the moon landings.

Apparently that was also hate speech. Well, I think at least a few countrymen hated my joke to the point it got reported and annoyed the mods enough.
