This would work better if the Republic hadn’t been hopelessly corrupt and sclerotic. Look at how they were unable to do anything about the invasion of Naboo. Dooku never would have been able to get systems to join his cause, and Palpatine never would have been able to topple the existing form of government in favor of an empire, if the Republic had been healthy and functional enough to present an effective resistance.

Someone needs to remake this with a cybertruck.
