I’ve said this before, but I have recently thought about what changes there are in human psychology when you go from being in a place where you can let out a guttural scream comfortably vs not.

Like, I’m sure in the past, when someone needed to, it must have been pretty easy to just go to a gorge or whatever and yell about the world for a bit.

Now, it seems no matter where you go, there’s people nearby that you wouldn’t want to confuse/annoy with your screaming. So many times I’ve wanted to just have a few moments of non-destructive rage in my apartment but know that this would upset all my neighbors.

    It just feels incredibly stifling.

Is there anything to this or am I just rambling…

      Grrrr

This is my life. It psychosomatically manifests physically, and my therapist has to keep reassuring me that I can let things out with him.

Was one of the best things of having a car. And one of the worst things of living in a city with no place nearby where no one would hear me.

People around me feel the same, and neurotypical folx get drawn to the safety and release it provides to have utter contempt for convention.

The Guardian also keep publishing pieces about women in the UK meeting up to go scream in the woods.

If a friend is having a bit of a breakdown I’m partly happy because I know how healing, purifying it is to let things out!

It’s the ‘normal’ folx who are insane, I tell ya!

Idk, on the one hand I think we have a lot of prey animal in us and “make a loud pained noise” is probably not a great survival tactic.

It’s hard enough to protect you inner peace but recently it’s gotten worse. Seeing sickening the events around the world being created dictators, the obscenely rich, and those who buy their message…it’s tough mentally.

You start to think what’s the point. I suppose that’s what the authoritarian want. A suppressed and ground down society. Fuck em!
