Canadian “Senators” are a much different thing than American ones. Very weird to see it worded this way. As an Albertan myself I had to do a double take because I thought they were referring to MP’s as Senators.

Right below the headline and date on this Hill Times article, there’s a share link promoting TwitterX.

It’s good that newspaper (cover that someone) call out Government’s silence and/or hypocrisy regarding X. It’d be better if newspapers themselves stopped using and promoting TwitterX

I still think that governments should have official Mastodon instances for MPs and government departments (as a replacement for the Blue Check) that they can use to easily get announcements and such out onto the fediverse.

We need to shame people more for still being on twitter .
