3:4 sure is a choice for aspect ratio

It is the optimal aspect ratio for web browsing, coding, and reading/editing documents. Most websites and documents fill the sides of the screen with spacers to present the content in the relative center. Instead of just displaying wasted space, an aspect ratio that is taller displays more content.

Most screens have been marketted for media like movies and games, where wider screens are a better.

IMO, wide screens aren’t that useful for most games, either. I’ve been using a 16:10 display for years and I love that added space at the top and bottom compared to 16:9.

          I agree but I play on 4:3 and wouldn’t game on 3:4.

Yeah, you’d definitely want a screen that’s at least somewhat wider than it is tall. But 16:9 is just too much.

16:10 is acceptable but I really prefer 4:3 or 5:4

    Huh.

The weird part of that is I’ve always referred to it as 640 by 480.

    Width by Height.

I’ve never seen it written as Height by Width before. It just looks weird…
