    The ignorance of Saudi human rights abuses has to be deliberate at this point.

    I think two things can be true…

    1. The film industry in Saudi Arabia is currently a more favorable environment for creative voices (compared to the cold, calculated movie executives in U.S.)
    2. They’re funding it with blood money

    One doesn’t forgive, justify, or defend the other though
