    Not great but she’s not an elected official, is she? And her husband isn’t responsible for her actions, is he? Maybe she has to retire from any public role as a result of this, but I’d literally not heard of her in years anyway.

      I agree that she’s not much of a public figure. I think that these sorts of things typically reflect upon the other spouse though. Gives you insight into values and ideology. Typically people marry like minded individuals, right?

      Not a big fan of Macron anyways, so this doesn’t change my opinion one way or another.

      I usually only hear of her in relation to how she was a teacher but divorced her husband and married one of her former students who was decades younger than her, a classmate of her own kids. Looks like he was 30 at the time they married, so maybe not a grooming situation, but still weird. That’s not the kind of person whose opinions I give much value.

        Two consenting and intelligent adults, the “young” “victim” was 30 at the time and now the president of a modern democracy.

        I see no problem, there are many many more president-couples which I give way less value on their opinions.
