Now make the executives pay back every bit of money they stole from their employees

Gig economy was our justice system asleep at the wheel while fatcats created a way to work around all our hard won labor protections

The people in charge and the investors will never be made to give back what they stole from the people who actually did the work. Uber, doordash, instacart, theyll all fail, thousands will lose a source of (illegally low) income, and the ones who made it happen and profitted the most will happily move onto the next clearly illegal venture until the court catches up with them again.

I say we hunt them all down and make a nice stew.  They know what they did, and Im fresh out of compassion for the rich- the rest of us are trying our best not to be complete assholes and theyre just laughing like “you idiots could have a yacht!”

But, hey, enjoy your gig economy stuff, dear reader. Youre totally not condoning their behavior by continuing to order thru amazon or riding with uber. Enjoy those sweet, sweet savings youre making off the backs the would be union employees, who instead get to work as contractors with less than minimum wage and no unemployment, no disability, no medical or dental or vision insurances. No raises. I mean people made good money doing USPS, UPS, FedEx hell even domino’s pizza, and now we’ve whittled away those careers - and people have the balls to complain about missing packages? youre the one who only wants to hire somone willing to work for a pittance to deliver your stuff

Theyve been employees the whole time and there will be NO recourse for those who knowingly and willingly stole from these workers for years. Years! As we all looked on and bought stock in their illegal companies because the giant corporation we work for doesnt have pensions anymore

Yeah this is all a wonderful system working perfectly, no notes

…im gonna go have a good cry
