Oh look, it’s Commander Cowen of the Genii from Stargate Atlantis!
🙃
O’Brian relives his worst moments while grading papers at the Academy.
It’d be a step up from Picard.
The stresses of becoming headmaster, putting up with that insufferable EMH, and the occasional visit from Keiko, Molly, and Kirayoshi. These episodes practically write themselves.
I’m just trying to decide if it’s a sitcom or not…
You know, the kind where you have a “straight man” who is driven nuts by his zany friends/family/coworkers for the enjoyment of the audience?
Well, kinda. Bear in mind, this is O’Brien. His suffering is our entertainment, but it also serves as the mirror for the shit we all must overcome. They called him “Smiley” in the alternate universe for a reason.

Time to release Molly into her feral little adventure again. For some decades.
Episode one: He is now retired from Starfleet, working as a cheesemonger, bashing Cardassian voles

That’s just his favorite holo. He’s “in control” but can never really win.
Every episode just immediately jumps into whatever world that O’Brien created in the simulations where he keeps every buffer clone trapped forever … sometimes it’s on DS9, sometimes on the Enterprise, sometimes on a Borg ship, sometimes in 19th century Louisiana, sometimes 23th century California, sometimes ancient Rome, sometimes on Kronos, sometimes on an ice moon, sometimes just free floating in empty space

Just Chief O’Brien at Work: The Series. So very much need this.
Hours and hours of spare time working as an engineer and endless access to a ship’s computer, so much data storage, devices, holo programs, simulators and digital systems … inevitably he’s going to end up doing some freaky stuff.
All that time “just standing around” is actually opportunities to carry out missions with Section 31, the Obsidion Order, the Tal Shiar, or Keiko (Koala help us all).
Edit: O’Brien - Generations

first episode: O’Brien gets into a transporter accident and is turned into the perpetual agony machine

At the other end of said machine:

Queue it up, I need this. Would pair nicely with the times.
[Q]ueue it up
