I have never seen antisemitic sentiment this high in my life, and it is almost completely due to the defense of genocide and from bullshit stunts like this group has pulled. Groups like Stop Antisemitism Now are literally hurting jewish people.

I think it is really important to try and not conflate being Jewish with being pro-Israel.

Israel associates itself with the international Jewish community and their tragic history in the same way the United States does with the concept of democracy and freedom or the USSR did with the international proletariat. Every non-Israeli Jew and a good chunk of the Israeli ones could hate Israel with the passion many of my Jewish friends do. They could hate it enough to blot out Israel as well as Haman on Purim. And even then Israel would claim to stand for them and speak for them and that criticism of Israel is antisemitism.
We must maintain our opposition to genocide and our opposition to bigotry based on racial or ethnic lines. We must force the citizens of Israel and its supporters to see the humanity of the starving Palestinians, just as we forced the people of Germany and the world to see the humanity of the Jewish people, and just as we should have done in America any time in the past 300 or so years with our indigenous peoples.
Oh it’s actually insane. I do not live in a country with a high Jewish population, so I’ve really had little to no opinion of them for the majority of my life. I now have a generally negative opinion from all the news and videos I’ve watched plus the continuous BS and accusations of antisemitism if you say anything anti Israel etc.

and the real truth that people in the diaspora have found is that any hate against anyone makes the world more hateful. we value peace for two reason:
- we’re not fucking monsters
- we don’t want to live with and around monsters for our own safety
so we will continue to speak on that the jewish identity is not tied to slaughtering other ethnicities, as israel says it is. many see the stories that have been passed down through judaism as the tale of a group of people who have maintained their history through multiple genocides, and exist to speak into the world how to avoid these atrocities.
in summary:
- if you find yourself by default hating any group audit it and see if you’re being shown an incomplete version of that group
- fuck israel for everything they’ve done

It sucks to be lied about & slandered, but at this point it really is a badge of honor to have genocide supporters calling you out because you don’t support murdering the kids that they traumatized. I know the threats & damage are real though. All the pro-genociders are doing though is exposing themselves for how dishonest they really are. Them calling Ms. Rachel a antisemite will only wake a bunch more people up to their lies & propaganda. The ones that believe it are blinded by their own bigotry.
It does more than that. It tarnishes the believability of all accusations of antisemitism, even those made by reasonable people about actual antisemitism.
It also proactively fuels antisemitism by conflating Israel with Jews more broadly. Because of rhetoric like this, some subset of people who are outraged at Israel l’s actions will now direct that outrage at Jews more broadly.
Moreover, Palestinians have semitic DNA.
Have you seen how they care about the safety of Palestinian children, and how they rationalize killing children as protecting Israel from terrorism?
Their actions provide all of the answers you need to understand their intent.
Why doesn’t she sue them for libel and/or slander? Make them prove she has said or done anti-semetic things?
Because calling someone Anti-Semetic is like calling someone an asshole. It’s fully an opinion and there’s no way to prove it one way or another.
And even if you could, she bares the cost of fighting the case. EVEN if she prevails, 10 more assholes will show up and call her anti-semetic.
