Costco is pretty much the only “good” giant conglomerated multinational corporation it seems.

    It is in fact something new. A security camera, or red light camera is not connected to a national database that anyone with a subscription to that database can access. Flock Cameras cost something to the tune of $2.5k per year per camera. Multiply that by 10-100x, and thats tens to hundreds of thousands of your tax dollars being used to fingerprint you. They allow the customer to search the database utilizing AI, tracking your every move via car & facial recognition. They are a dragnet security half measure that will get people killed. They’ve already been used to stalk citizens and arrest people seeking legal abortion.

    don’t think this issue won’t eventually affect you, unless youre one of the people using it.

    (And yes, Lowes and Home Depot have deployed them as well. Ive subsequently stopped shopping at those stores.)
