      So did The Irishman. The idea that a film gets better with footage has got to end. Tarantino split Kill Bill and our asses are better for it.

        Yeah Scorsese has shit he wants to say, and it’s interesting and compelling stuff. But it doesn’t fit in a tight ninety minutes and I miss a tight ninety minutes.

          His films have rarely been that short, though. Even before streaming allowed him to make very long films like The Irishman and Killers of the Flower Moon, he was still averaging well over 2 hours.

    Maybe it would have worked better it I could not imagine sitting through four and a. Half more hours of that.

      I liked the movie but it was definitely too long as it was. Adding that much more would have made it unmatchably slow.

    Basically he’s just making movies at the point for me to fall asleep to. I haven’t gotten through either of his last two movies. Just can’t do it
